joyJoyHouse Children's Village
Providing a home for life and a future for abandoned and orphaned children in Namibia and raising them into mature adults and role models.
what we do
JoyHouse takes care of children until they have reached adulthood and can live independent lives. We raise children from early childhood up to mature adults who can function as role-models for others on how to live a successful life no matter their background or history. Click the link below to see our primary flow diagram of the inflow of children, the process and the outflow with the end result being to have raised Mature Role Model Adults.
We are currently in the registration and strategic planning phase of the Village. Our main objectives have been approved by the Ministry of Health and we are just awaiting out Welfare Organisation Number. In the meantime we are drafting our strategic plan and getting so excited by the impact we can have. We have identified the land where the village will be built and plans are underway to design the layout. You can get involved by donating much needed funding or by volunteering in a variety of positions.
5 Way Holistic Approach
JoyHouse’s Childcare has an integrated five way holistic approach. The focus is on individual childcare as each child is unique and therefore has different needs.
From Our Founders
” Children are our future and it has always been a dream of ours to build a children’s village. We grew up in a town with a very successful children’s village and the passion grabbed our hearts and we are now making it a reality. We owe tremendous thanks to Rehoboth Children’s Village for partnering with us and sharing their knowledge and Hope for Life Foundation for their backing and support “
– Hanjo & Rosalind Schlabitz
Today all we have is a dream and a piece of land.
Our dream is to build 20 homes with 30 house mums loving 100 children. Will you help us?
